Next Level IKEA Kitchen
I have a hilltop kitchen reno in Langford right now that is going to blow our minds (that’s right…yours and mine!). It’s no secret that I love IKEA, in fact you may not know that I worked there during the summers when I was in University. Yep…I had THE most tricked out first apartment ever…too bad I was such a nerd no one ever came over to see it…so you’ll just have to trust me that it was super fly. ANYWAY… This project is an IKEA kitchen using custom doors and drawers from Semihandmade. Semi hand what?
Semihandmade started making custom doors and drawer fronts for IKEA cabinets in 2011. They offer a range of colours and finishes to suit almost any style and the best things is that even with Semihandmade doors, you’ll still easily save 30-40% on the cost of a typical custom kitchen. Cool right!
The demo is done and this is our plan. A gray honed floor tile, white cabinets, navy island, gray backsplash, black quartz and butcher block on the island. New appliances, a fireclay apron sink and a partridge in a pear tree.
For this project the client wanted a darker island…and hey… who doesn’t so she chose the navy shaker which looks incredible! but there are lots of great colours and wood grains to choose from. These are my faves in the painted shaker category…
They ship it to ya, and go over your order with you to make sure you read the Swedish right :). It’s all pretty awesome really. There are many colours and wood grains to choose from and it’s all perfectly paired with the IKEA cabinet systems. These are just a few of the options.
Counter templates and floor tile this week. It’s going to be amazing 🙂
