Pillow Puzzle for a Friend

Written by on 6th May 2013 in Blog POSTS with 4 Comments

A month ago one of my best blogging friends asked for some help with pillows for her living room. Her room was being featured because of a new light fixture she installed from Rejuvenation.  The challenge was to make everything around the new light look fab too.  I used her amazingly cool vintage poster art as a jump point and headed straight to Etsy where all the greatest pillows live. Here is how it looked before …

And here it is with the new light and some pillow love…BTW visit her site for a chance to wine a $100 gift card to Rejuvenation!

Here’s an example of one of the pillow puzzles I drafted for her to consider…and then I just gave her the links to the Etsy sellers and she was off to the races!

Chalk Paint Adventure – Girls Rooms

Written by on 29th April 2013 in Blog POSTS with 3 Comments

This weekend my client and I sanded the chalk painted furniture for the girls rooms that we painted last weekend. It was a messy business but when you have a small budget you gotta be prepared to work your butt off...and let me tell you this lady is a work horse! The whole process has been so fun!

weekend update

And, on Saturday when it started raining we packed it in and went to Home Sense/Home Goods…I found this DVF coverlet that whispered to me that it wants to be a headboard…we’ll see…

Little Girl Room No. 2

Written by on 17th April 2013 in Blog POSTS with 3 Comments

So I have finished my concepts for the two rooms and my fabric order has been placed. yay! One room is a little more bright, and the other a little more pink.  To save money I have used some of the same fabrics in both spaces, and we are using the same chalk paint but on different pieces. If you’ve ever had two little girls, you must know the importance of having everything equal, but different….it’s not easy. But I think I accomplished it.  Painting furniture this weekend!! Keep following along with the progress and email me if you have any questions!
