Living Room with a modern edge
Once in awhile I work with clients who have bold taste and are willing to try things that others just won’t. This couple was pretty fearless and let me steer them toward a mis matched seating arrangement and an ecclectic mix of furniture that make this is a living room with a modern edge.
I started with this brown empty space and came up with this design concept after a couple meetings:
We compromised on several items and ended up with a great adult space that is both kid proof and stylish.
I love this 3D Mirror. I guarantee no one else in Oak Bay has that one!
This adorable little EQ3 loveseat is sporting some custom pillows from fabric my client and I selected together. It’s no accident that the blue, green and coral are picking up the colours in the painting.
Re-using their Noguchi table was a no brainer. It’s timeless and classic style blends perfectly with this retro inspired curve back tufted leather sofa in black. Have you checked out the Indigo rug? Such a beautiful piece. I love it so much!
Not to be outdone, the back corner is also a stunner, with a cool credenza in reclaimed wood and marble stealing the show. A mod / graphic and easy to clean rug is a cousin to the larger Indigo beauty.
One more look at the room before. I called that red couch bossy and I’ll never live it down 🙂
This modern living room is one of my favourites!
